At Wholistic Health Centre, we’re honoured to support the health and wellbeing of our veteran community. If you’re a holder of a Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) Gold or White Card, you may be eligible to access fully funded allied health services—including chiropractic, physiotherapy, and remedial massage therapy—at no cost to you.

Our experienced team delivers personalised care across our clinics in Wolli Creek, Kareela, Hurstville, and Miranda, helping veterans manage pain, improve mobility, and regain independence.

What services can veterans access?

Veterans with eligible DVA health cards may receive care for chronic pain, musculoskeletal conditions, post-injury rehabilitation, and more through:

 To qualify for DVA-funded services, you must:

Hold a Gold Card (covering all health conditions) or a White Card (for specific, approved conditions)

– Obtain a valid referral from a: General Practitioner (GP), Medical Specialist, Local Medical Officer (LMO), Hospital Discharge Planner, Or an existing chiropractor (with an active referral)

What you need to know

Initial Consultations: Up to three initial consultations may be provided within a 12-month period (for new or unrelated conditions).

Subsequent Consultations: Ongoing care must relate to an eligible musculoskeletal condition.

No Same-Day Claims: Initial and subsequent consultations cannot be claimed on the same day for the same condition.

Frequently asked questions

Yes – if you hold a DVA Gold Card (for all conditions) or a White Card (for specific, accepted conditions), and you have a valid referral from a GP or other approved health professional, you may be eligible for fully funded allied health services at our clinic.

Eligible veterans can access:

These services are fully bulk-billed, meaning there are no out-of-pocket costs when you have an active DVA referral.

To receive care under DVA, you’ll need a referral from one of the following:

– Chiropractor (if continuing care with a new condition)

No – your care is fully covered by DVA. We bill DVA directly on your behalf, so there are no gap payments or admin fees for eligible treatments.

Yes, but only for treatment related to your accepted service-related condition. Your GP or referring doctor will need to confirm that your care is related to the approved condition listed on your White Card.

Yes. You can choose to be treated as a Medicare or private patient. However, if you take this option, DVA will not pay for any services that have been paid in part or full by Medicare, private health insurance or a third party compensation benefit.
